Khalif Bryant, a 19 yr old up and coming artist from Virginia Beach brings a unique sound to his music. Taking distinct elements of the modern rap scene, his music stays faithful to the traditions of R&B in his romantic writing, but still speaks to larger truths about his life and coming to age. Being both a product of this canon and informed by his youth, Khalif is an artist to watch. Just as comfortable presenting bravado as admitting fault, his lyrics read confessional and honest. With a sharp ear for production, and the benefit of a cadre of fellow performers, his work vouches for the erratic behavior of being a young man, and wanting to put on for one’s peers. It turns a culturally literate ear to stories worth telling, and the music goes above and beyond in supporting that notion.

My goal is to connect and share my music with as many people as possible. I feel like it’s kinda corny to say, but Michael Jackson inspired me to start my creative journey 😂. Seeing someone do so much with their music and connecting with so many people and seeing his work as a kid solidified that music is something I wanted to do forever.
